Job Summary

At Nutrition One, we are committed to delivering vibrant, visually appealing, and nutritionally fulfilling food choices to our clients, many of which are k-12 students. The Driver/Server compiles orders for school meals including hot/cold items, condiments, paper goods, etc. Loads these items into company-owned vans and delivers to assigned schools. We observe food safety guidelines for food handling and familiarize ourselves with meal patterns with an understanding of the National School Lunch Program (NSLP), Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), Summer Food Service Program (SFSP), and other federal/state child nutrition programs. The Driver/Server’s vision is to change lives and shape culture through a commitment to servant leadership.

 

Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Fulfill and load required items for each school on assigned route.
  • Ensure food safety at time of loading, delivery, and serving.
  • Observe safe driving and maintain all company driving guidelines.
  • Track meals served to accurately complete the production record to compliance standards.
  • Maintain time/temp food logs and other driver’s logs.
  • Unloads N1 fleet vehicle at the end of their workday.
  • Be personable and professional to students and staff at schools.
  • Learn the NSLP, CACFP, SFSP, and other federal/state child nutrition programs to maintain compliance with meal patterns.
  • Hybrid (driver/server/kitchen) responsibilities include helping with kitchen prep.
  • Work closely with Route Manager, Kitchen Manager, and corporate personnel.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid AZ driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Be able to obtain Current Food Handler’s Card.
  • Be able to obtain DPS-issued, Level One IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Possess attention to detail
  • Must like working around, serving meals to children
  • Read, write, and comprehend English
 
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to perform routine physical activities including sitting or standing for longer than 6 hours, walking, squatting, lift 50 pounds, exposure to climate changes, drive company vehicle to fulfill job duties.
  • Able to work in an environment with high energy and various sensory stimulation (K-12 school cafeteria environment).

Job Preferences

  • 6 months prior customer service experience
  • Incentives for Bi-lingual Spanish speaker but not required
